By using this website and making a booking, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. About RosCar Iceland

RosCar Iceland is a car rental aggregator. We help customers compare and book vehicles from international and local car rental companies in Iceland. Cars may be rented at the airport, with delivery in the city, or with delivery to a hotel, depending on supplier availability and booking conditions.

2. Our Service

RosCar Iceland provides an online platform where users can search for available rental vehicles, compare offers, select additional options, and make a reservation with a rental supplier. We act as an intermediary between the customer and the car rental provider. The final rental agreement is made between the customer and the selected rental company.

3. Main Advantages

Depending on the selected vehicle and supplier, our offers may include the following benefits:

  • Free cancellation

These benefits are available only when clearly shown in the booking terms for the selected vehicle. Specific conditions may vary depending on the rental company, vehicle category, rental dates, and location.

4. Booking Process

To rent a car through RosCar Iceland, the customer must complete the booking process on the website.

The booking process usually includes the following steps:

  1. Select the pickup location and return location
  2. Choose rental dates and times
  3. Select the preferred car type or vehicle category
  4. Choose additional options such as no deposit, no credit card, insurance, or child seat
  5. Fill in the driver contact details
  6. Confirm the booking and pay the required prepayment

5. Payment Terms

To confirm a reservation, the customer is generally required to pay a prepayment of 15% to 20% of the total booking amount. The exact amount of the prepayment will be shown during the booking process before payment is made.

After successful payment and booking confirmation, the customer will receive a voucher by email. The voucher will include booking details, instructions, and the contact information of the rental company.

The remaining amount, if applicable, is usually paid according to the terms of the selected rental company. This may be paid at pickup or under other conditions specified in the booking details.

6. Voucher and Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only after the required prepayment has been successfully received and a confirmation voucher has been sent to the customer by email. It is the responsibility of the customer to check that the email address provided during booking is correct.

If the customer does not receive the voucher within a reasonable time after payment, the customer should contact us at [email protected].

7. Rental Supplier Terms

Each vehicle listed on RosCar Iceland is provided by a third party rental company. The rental itself is subject to the terms and conditions of that company, including rules related to driver age, driving experience, insurance coverage, fuel policy, mileage, cross border use, pickup procedures, late return, and vehicle use.

By making a booking, the customer also agrees to comply with the specific rental conditions of the selected supplier. In case of conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the supplier terms, the supplier terms will apply to the rental itself, while these Terms and Conditions will apply to the use of the RosCar Iceland website and booking platform.

8. No Deposit and No Credit Card Options

RosCar Iceland offers filters and booking options for rentals without a deposit and rentals without a credit card. These options are subject to availability and depend on the selected supplier and vehicle.

Where such features are available, they will be indicated in the offer details. Customers should carefully read all booking conditions to understand whether any payment guarantee, debit card, cash payment, insurance requirement, or other qualification rules apply.

9. Unlimited Mileage

Some offers include unlimited mileage. This feature applies only when specifically stated in the vehicle offer or booking terms.
If unlimited mileage is not listed, mileage limits or other restrictions may apply according to the supplier conditions.

10. Airport, City, and Hotel Delivery

Vehicle pickup may be available at the airport, in the city, or by delivery to a hotel. Delivery and pickup options depend on the selected rental company, location, operating hours, and vehicle availability.

Some delivery services may require additional confirmation or extra charges. Customers should review the booking details and voucher instructions carefully.

11. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information during booking
  • Reviewing the supplier rental conditions before confirming the reservation
  • Holding a valid driving license and any documents required by the supplier
  • Meeting the minimum age and driving experience requirements
  • Arriving on time for pickup and following the instructions in the voucher
  • Inspecting the vehicle at pickup and reporting any visible damage according to supplier procedures
  • Using the vehicle in accordance with the law and the rental agreement

12. Cancellations and Changes

RosCar Iceland offers free cancellation on eligible bookings when this is clearly stated in the offer or booking conditions. Free cancellation is subject to the deadline and rules shown at the time of booking.

If a booking does not include free cancellation, cancellation fees or partial refund limitations may apply. Any request to change or cancel a booking should be sent as soon as possible to [email protected].

Booking changes are subject to availability and may result in price changes or updated rental conditions.

13. Prices and Availability

All prices shown on the website are subject to availability and confirmation by the rental supplier. While we aim to keep all information accurate and updated, prices, vehicle availability, included features, and rental conditions may change at any time before final confirmation.

RosCar Iceland reserves the right to correct pricing errors, technical mistakes, or incorrect vehicle information. If a material error affects a booking request, the customer will be informed and offered the available alternatives where possible.

14. Insurance and Extras

Customers may be able to select optional services and extras during the booking process, including insurance options and child seats. The availability, price, and coverage of these extras depend on the selected supplier.

It is the responsibility of the customer to review the details of any insurance product, coverage exclusions, excess amount, and optional equipment before confirming the booking.

15. Liability

RosCar Iceland is responsible for providing the booking platform and transmitting reservation details to the selected supplier. We are not the owner of the rental vehicles and we do not directly provide the rental service unless explicitly stated.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RosCar Iceland is not liable for losses, damages, delays, vehicle unavailability, supplier actions, supplier refusal of service, accidents, additional charges, or disputes arising from the rental agreement between the customer and the rental company.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

16. Refusal of Service

A rental company may refuse to hand over a vehicle if the customer does not meet the supplier conditions. This may include cases involving invalid documents, insufficient driving experience, failure to present required payment method, late arrival, or other noncompliance with rental rules.

In such cases, refunds will be subject to the supplier policy and the conditions accepted at the time of booking.

17. Use of the Website

You agree to use the RosCar Iceland website only for lawful purposes and only to make legitimate booking inquiries or reservations.
You may not use the website for fraudulent bookings, false requests, automated scraping, interference with site operation, or any activity that could damage our business or systems.

18. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, layout, logos, graphics, icons, and design elements, is owned by RosCar Iceland or used with permission and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any part of the website for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

19. Privacy
